We wanted to let you know that the City will be performing a beach renourishment project from to enhance and preserve our beautiful shoreline. While the work involves moving sand to widen the beach, it will primarily take place around low tide hours and should have minimal impact on your enjoyment. You may notice some equipment and hear occasional beeping from trucks during the day, but beach access will remain open and safe throughout the project. We appreciate your understanding and are confident you'll still have a relaxing and memorable stay by the ocean!
ATTENTION GUESTS: Due the the impact of recent storms please note that during high tide, the beach area becomes quite narrow, which may limit space for walking. You might notice some sandbags at nearby properties protecting their dunes—thank you for helping us care for the coastline by avoiding walking on the dunes or sandbags.

This rental had a fantastic location with ample parking and just a short walk to the beach. There was more than enough room for our group of 10 to be comfortable. A few maintenance issues did greet us upon arrival — the garbage disposal wasn’t working and the sink drained slowly, though maintenance came the next day to fix it. The kitchen faucet handle was broken, making dishwashing and handwashing a bit difficult, and it seemed like it had been that way for some time. This is a return trip to 2 Summer Dunes. Bathrooms were not cleaned, old soap and empty containers. There is major construction next door, with workers arriving at 7:30am including Saturdays. A good cleaning, extermination and updates need to be done. Wonderful stay. Each bedroom has a private en suite and the extra bathroom on the main floor that isn’t shared with a bedroom is a nice bonus. There is tons of pantry and cabinet storage in the kitchen. Beautiful home; so close to the beach! Probably one of the most well stocked homes we’ve ever rented. Spent Christmas week with our grown children and grandchildren and never felt cramped. What a plus that everyone had their own bathroom too. The only suggestion I could make would be to bring a good night light for the stairway landing. Three people in our party stumbled on the one step down to the next level of the stairway. We were 4 couples getting together for the UGA/USC game. Decided to spend our money on golf, beach, spa and food rather than football tickets. This house was perfect! This beautiful house worked out perfect for our family. Very convenient to the beach and well appointed. The only suggestion I would have is to upgrade the stove and the refrigerator. This location was perfect! Not on the beach but extremely close. House was mostly well appointed and clean. There is definitely some wear and tear but that’s to be expected and wasn’t a deal breaker. Beds were comfortable and the house was spacious, perfect for my group of 10. One of the burners on the stove wouldn’t heat up and the coffee pot wasn’t great. It leaked when pouring and took a long time to brew, no pause function on the pot. There were exactly 10 bath towels which was kind of odd, no extras but there was a washer/dryer. The house had a beach cart, wagon, and beach toys which was great! The grill propane tank was empty but a quick trip down to island realty with the empty to replace it for free was easy enough. Good house for a large group. We had eight (65 year old)ladies in town for a tennis tournament and this house was perfect. Each bedroom has a private bath + one extra...6 full bathrooms! Nice big tables inside and out for meals and games. Good beds, pillows and linens. Very clean. We stayed in this house for 5 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. It as well layed out and very nicely furnished and finished. If you are a cook, the kitchen will make you a little crazy - the stove is bad but that was our only negative. They also could make the underneath entryway cuter but it is not a big deal at all. It is just a few steps from the beach and it is a very quiet little street. There is a view of the ocean from one balcony. Had a wonderful stay at 2 Summer Dunes. Access to the beach was unbeatable. The house met our needs. Comfortable and clean beach house rental. Parking for at least three cars and just steps from the beach. All the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. We were so blessed the owners and Island Realty offered this home to us for a last minute needed getaway. It is the IDEAL home for mixed ages or other small groups. Our family has been renting A Christmas House for over 14 years. We come together from all the U.S. We have been as far as Vermont. This year we were smaller in number so the house was perfect in size. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.The house was great and had such a warm cozy feel to it. As usual Island Realty was great.They even had all of the items that we left behind bagged and ready for me to pick up (smile)! You can cancel your reservation; however, you will not get a refund unless the property is re-rented for the same dates and rate as your reservation.
Island Realty has a 10% cancellation fee, and the remainder of your deposit is held pending the re-rental of the property.
If you are paid in full for the reservation, all money will be held until we can re-rent the property. If the property is not re-booked, the entire balance will be forfeited to Island Realty, regardless of whether or not a full deposit was made at the time of booking.
Purchasing travel insurance may help with a reimbursement if cancellation is prompted by an extenuating circumstance. Read more about travel insurance HERE.

While we are unsure of the speeds you require for work, we can speak to the fact that no guests of this property have voiced any complaints regarding speed, etc. Like with any provider, we are at Comcast's mercy if their equipment and lines should go down for some reason, but our maintenance team is always on standby to help in any way they can should the need arise.
